Brett Martin (born January 23, 1963 in Queensland ) is a former Australian squash player .
Career
Martin comes from a successful squash family. His brother Rodney Martin became world champion in 1991 , his sister Michelle Martin even won the world championship three times from 1993 to 1995. Brett Martin himself was denied a world title in singles. His highest ranking in the world rankings was second in March 1994. That year he was in the final of the British Open , which he lost in four sets against Jansher Khan . In 1996 and 1997 he was also in the final of the PSA World Series , but lost both times. While he lost to Del Harris in just five sets in 1996 , he had no chance against Jansher Khan in 1997. He also reached the final at the US Open in 1991. He lost this to his brother Rodney. With the Australian national team he was world champion in 1989 and 1991 . Brett Martin ended his career, during which he won three titles, in 1997.
