A letter bomb attack on Swissnuclear was carried out on Thursday, March 31, 2011 in Olten . Swissnuclear is the specialist group for nuclear energy at Swisselectric and is made up of representatives from Swiss electricity network companies.

The letter was addressed to a member of the management of the Mühleberg nuclear power plant . Two employees were injured in the office, and one woman only survived by accident.

According to the head of proceedings, Bulletti, the intention was clearly to kill. The head of the Institute for Strategic Studies, Albert A. Stahel, also counts “eco-terrorists” with Marxist ideas and under the influence of Germany, as they have been active in Switzerland since the 1980s, as possible perpetrators. The event received international press coverage as the anti-nuclear movement received a lot of attention after the Fukushima nuclear disaster that same month .
