Brigada Flores Magon was a French punk band from Paris . The band members came from the militant punk and redskin scene and played street punk with lyrics that were often political, influenced by anarchism and revolutionary ideas. The band's name pays homage to the Mexican revolutionary Ricardo Flores Magón , who, in their opinion, was one of the fathers of anti-imperialism and thought leaders of anarchism. They released four studio albums and, according to their own account, played over 500 concerts in different countries.
history
The band was founded in the 1990s by members of the French Redskin scene. After a few demos, they released their first split album in 1999 together with Opció K-95 . With their first full album Brigada Flores Magon in 2000 , they became known to a wider audience. In 2002 and 2003 the two albums Anges Gardiens and Rock or Die followed . In November 2007 the band released the album Tout pour tous . In June 2010 the group announced its dissolution.
