The honorary title Brigade of Outstanding Achievement was a state award of the German Democratic Republic (GDR), which was awarded in the form of a small enameled pin. It was donated on February 18, 1954. It was awarded to brigades of agricultural production cooperatives, but also to fishermen who had contributed to the consolidation of work organization and work discipline through special collective achievements, as well as for the achievements in the introduction and application of new working methods, which to had led to an increase in agricultural production / fisheries. With the title, the collective was also presented with a collective certificate, a cash bonus and a badge for each individual member. The award ceased on January 1, 1978.

Appearance

The silver-colored small badge with a size of 26 mm × 24 mm shows a waving red enameled flag with the four-line inscription: LPG / BRIGADE DER / OUTSTANDING / PERFORMANCE The reverse was smooth. A small needle with a hook was attached to it. There were no regulations regarding how to wear them; they were usually worn on the lapel of the suit or on the breast pocket of the work shirt.
