The Brighton Beach is a stretch of coast in the north of South Georgia . It is located between Zero Point and Adventure Point on the west bank of Possession Bay .
The name appears for the first time on maps that were created during the survey work of the British Discovery Investigations between 1926 and 1930, and is derived from the British seaside resort of Brighton . The reason for the naming is that the beach here is as densely populated by seals as its British counterpart with tourists.
