Brighton College

Brighton College is a British private school founded in 1845. It consists of a senior school for 11 to 18 year-olds (Brighton College proper) and a primary school (Brighton College Preparatory School) and a pre-prep school.

Brighton College was the first public school in Sussex .

Brighton College is organized in eleven houses that serve as the base for athletic and professional competitions. These are divided into boarding houses for the boarding school students and day houses for the external students. Brighton College is co-educational , but each house is reserved for one gender. The renowned school has an active network of former students ( alumni ).

The main buildings of Brighton College were built by Sir George Gilbert Scott in a neo-Gothic style (1848-66). Later buildings are partly by his student Sir Thomas Graham Jackson
