Brigitte Märker

Brigitte Gerda Erika Märker (born April 19, 1953 in Schwelm , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German writer . She also writes under the pseudonyms Carmen von Lindenau and Caroline von Steineck .

Life

Brigitte Märker was the first child of Gerhard and Lilly Reidel (née Pisching). In 1956 the family moved to Offenbach am Main . There, after finishing elementary school, Märker attended the Ursuline grammar school . After leaving school, she completed an apprenticeship as an advertising clerk in Frankfurt am Main . She started writing during her training. At first there were plays for children. Some of them were performed, including Millie, the garbage can , a story that Märker developed together with her son Patrick.

In the mid-1980s, theater workshops for children and readings in kindergartens and schools followed. She has written screenplays, writes online columns and is mainly devoted to writing novels.

Between 2002 and 2012 Brigitte Märker published 60 booklet novels under the pseudonym Carmen von Lindenau at Kelter Verlag .

Brigitte Märker has lived in Berlin since 2002 .
