Brigitte Sauzay

Brigitte Sauzay (born November 25, 1947 in Toulon , † November 11, 2003 in Paris ) worked as an interpreter for the three French presidents Georges Pompidou , Valéry Giscard d'Estaing and François Mitterrand . In 1993 she and Rudolf von Thadden founded the “Berlin-Brandenburg Institute for Franco-German Cooperation in Europe” (BBI), today's Genshagen Foundation . After the federal election in 1998 , the then Federal Chancellor got Gerhard Schrödershe as a consultant for German-French relations in Berlin .

A Franco-German school exchange program was named after Brigitte Sauzay .
