Brigitte Walz
Brigitte Annemarie Walz (born February 16, 1955 in Altensteig ) is a German ethnologist .
Life
Walz grew up in Swabia. She studied ethnology and German literature in Freiburg and received her doctorate in 1985. She moved to Berlin and worked for an advertising agency, then as head of the FAB publishing house and the literary publishing house Fannei und Walz. She met Anett Szabó while training to be a PR officer in Göttingen. From October 1995 both women developed concepts for a multiethnic carnival in the Werkstatt der Kulturen in the Berlin-Neukölln district . This initiative resulted in the first Carnival of Cultures in 1996 .
