Brina Stinehelfer (* New York City ) is a performance artist , actress and theater producer .

Life

Brina Stinehelfer, who lives in Berlin, is the founder of Per Aspera Productions, an actress and performer. She was born in New York City , where she graduated from SUNY Purchase with an acting degree . She has worked as a multidisciplinary performer and director in New York and internationally. In spring 2008 she moved to Berlin, where she first made a name for herself as a solo performance artist and concentrated on site-specific performance. She has worked for Gob Squad , The Wooster Group , Post Theater, and Nature Theater of Oklahoma , among others . Under the name Per Aspera Productions, she produces off-theater, dance and performance art. In 2011 she won the jury award at the 100 ° Festival in Berlin with her own interactive play Skype Duet .
