Brooke Kazuko Elby (born May 24, 1993 in Pasadena ) is an American soccer player who has been under contract with the Chicago Red Stars in the National Women's Soccer League since June 2018 .

Career

During her studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill , Elby played for the University of North Carolina Tar Heels from 2011 to 2014 . In addition, she played from 2013 to 2014 for the W-League participant Los Angeles Strikers and their successor team Los Angeles Blues . She participated in the NWSL's college draft in early 2015 , but was not selected by any franchise. In the 2015/16 season Elby completed a league game for the Australian first division club Melbourne Victory before moving to the Boston Breakers for the 2016 season. After two years in Boston, she moved to Utah Royals FC for the 2018 season , which she transferred to the Chicago Red Stars in June 2018 .
