Brosnaham Island is a 1.5 km long island off the Hillary Coast on the western edge of the Antarctic Ross Ice Shelf . It is located 18 km northeast of Cape Murray .

The United States Geological Survey mapped them using tellurometer measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1959 to 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named them in 1965 after James Joseph Brosnahan (1921-2005), Navy commander of the winter team on the McMurdo Station in 1961.
