The Brown Peaks are a series of low mountains in the Ross Dependency of Antarctica . They rise from a 6 km long ridge 11 km east of Robinson Bluff on the east side of the Amundsen Glacier .
Surveys and aerial photographs by the American Byrd Antarctic Expedition (1928–1930) served as an initial rough mapping. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain range in 1967 after Kenneth R. Brown, a biologist at McMurdo Station in the Antarctic winter of 1964.
