The Browns Glacier is a small glacier on the Ingrid Christensen Coast of Princess Elisabeth Land in East Antarctica . It flows 6 km north of the Chaos Glacier in a westerly direction into the northern foothills of Ranvik , a side bay of Prydz Bay .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 . The American John H. Roscoe determined his position based on the aerial photographs of Operation Highjump (1946-1947). Roscoe named him after Lieutenant Eduardo P. Brown (1916-2006), photographer for the western group of Operation Highjump.
