Browns is located in central Alabama in the southern United States.

Nearby locations include Uniontown (12 km west), Marion Junction (12 km east), Marion (19 km north), Faunsdale (21 km west), and Valley Grande (23 km east). The next larger city is the capital of Alabama, Montgomery, about 90 kilometers to the east with 205,000 inhabitants .

history

The place was named after Jesse Browns, who provided land for the construction of a train station.

In 1878 a post office was opened.
