Brunella Gasperini

Brunella Gasperini is the pseudonym of Bianca Robecchi (born December 22, 1918 in Milan , Italy ; † January 7, 1979 ibid) was an Italian journalist and author.

Life

Gasperini worked as a teacher shortly after the end of World War II and began collaborating with the Corriere della Sera and other Rizzoli media outlets in the early 1950s . In the women's magazine Annabella she had the column Ditelo a Brunella (Say it Brunella), in which she openly discussed topics such as divorce, abortion, and family and politics. For years she had a similar section Lettere a Candida (Letters to Candida) in the magazine Novella .

In 1956 Gasperini published her first novel L'estate dei bisbigli , which had previously been published in sequels in Annabella . In the years up to her death about 30 novels, short stories and anthologies were published.

Gasperini was married and had two children from this marriage. She commuted most of her life between Milan and San Mamete, a district of Valsolda on Lake Lugano (lago di Lugano).
