Fountain on the Anger
The Am Anger fountain is a listed fountain in the municipality of Teutschenthal in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the fountain is listed as a monument under registration number 094 55637 .
The fountain in Am Anger was built in the first third of the 20th century. The history of its origins has not yet been fully clarified. It is relatively likely that it was donated by the Wentzel family of industrialists. The family was known for their efforts to beautify the villages in the area. This is supported by the fact that there is a similar square in Langenbogen , only with a war memorial instead of the fountain, which was verifiably donated by the Wentzel family.
