from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Bruno Glaser (* 1966 ) is a German soil biogeochemist and university professor who teaches at the University of Halle (Saale) . His research will focus Terra preta , biochar , paleoecology and stable isotope analysis .

Life

From 1991 to 1995 Bruno Glaser studied food chemistry at the University of Wuppertal. He received his doctorate in 1999 from the University of Bayreuth in soil science with a topic on terra preta . In 2006 he completed his habilitation on the possibilities and limits of stable isotope analysis in soil science. Glaser is the author and co-author of over 100 scientific publications in the field of soil geobiochemistry and has carried out numerous EU, BMBF and DFG-funded research projects. Glaser is considered a pioneer in research into terra preta and biochar.
