Bruno Hildebrandt (actor, 1864)
Bruno Hildebrandt ( 1864 in Brno - after 1910) was a German theater actor and opera singer ( tenor ).
Life
When he took part in a gala concert on the occasion of the fortieth anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I , his voice was noticed and art lovers prompted him to turn to the stage. He took lessons from Josef Gänsbacher (singing) and August Stoll (lecture) and appeared in Aachen in 1896 as "Faust" for the first time. After a year of work he came to Halle (inaugural role “Tamino”), then to Hamburg and in 1899 to Zurich, where he made his debut as “Ottavio”. After working there for two years, the artist was hired as the artistic secretary for the municipal theater in Magdeburg. He sang youthful hero and lyric tenor roles.
