The Schwanden observation tower is an observation tower above Schwanden in the canton of Glarus .
situation
The tower, made of wood in 2001, is ten meters high. 25 steps lead to the viewing platform at a height of five meters. A panorama board from 2003 provides information about the mountain peaks.
The Tannenbergstrasse leads from Haslen to the observation tower. From the general driving ban, you can walk to the observation tower in about ten minutes.
From the tower there is a view from the Tödi to the Hatzgenstock.
