The Schirmer Tower is one of nine towers of the Musegg Wall in the city of Lucerne . It is located between the Zytturm and the Powder Tower.

The building has a height of 27.5 meters and is therefore the second smallest tower of the Musegg Wall with the powder and Allen wind tower. 96 steps lead to the top floor within the tower. Each with two windows on each side offer a panoramic view of the city of Lucerne to Lake Lucerne and the Pilatus .

history

The tower was built in 1420. For a long time it served as a warehouse for the city gardening department.

The tower has been open to the public since 1951.
