Eva Adolfsson

Eva Adolfsson (born December 28, 1942 in Malmö , Sweden , † April 20, 2010 ) was a Swedish writer .

Life

Eva Adolfsson was the daughter of the writer Gunnar Adolfsson . She grew up in Gothenburg and attended a language high school in the Majorna district . At Stockholm University she began studying Russian, which she graduated with a master's degree in 1966 . In 1971 she successfully completed a teaching degree at the Stockholm Teachers' College . From 1976 to 1982 she finally worked as an editor for the culture magazine Ord & Bild , where she also wrote literary reviews for daily newspapers such as Dagens Nyheter .

Adolfsson made her debut as an author in 1980 with her collection of essays, Livstycken . Her debut novel as a writer followed in 1989 with I hennes frånvaro . In particular, her penultimate, 2005 published Roman Förvandling received critical acclaim. In 2006 she was awarded the Swedish Radio Novel Prize.

In 1981 Adolfsson married the literary historian and university professor Ulf Olsson, with whom she lived until her death.
