Bruno K. Öijer (born November 26, 1951 in Linköping ) is a Swedish poet and writer .

life and career

Bruno K. Öijer, who has published numerous volumes of poetry and a novel since his debut in the 1970s . He is known to be an unconditional outsider and loner who lives by his own laws and has remained true to himself to this day. He has a very special way of performing his poems, some of which are borrowed from rock and are very avant-garde and haunting, concise and captivating. He himself says of his poetry: "Basically, it is about the fact that every person is greater than his situation and that our future rests on the ability to feel sadness about what has been lost."

Bruno K. Öijer has received several well-known Swedish literary prizes and has been translated into many other languages, see for example two poems in German translation by Gerhard Rombach.
