Bruno Schaller (* 1958 in Schüpfheim ) is a Swiss teacher, journalist and pilot.

Life

After high school, he completed the teachers' seminar in Hitzkirch and taught at the upper level of primary school in Schüpfheim and Schenkon. After training as a journalist at the MAZ in Lucerne, he switched to the publishing industry and combined his passion for aviation with the profession of journalist. In 1985 he became editor and later editor-in-chief of Aero-Revue (international specialist magazine for aviation, official publication organ of the Aero Club in Switzerland ).

In 1988 Bruno Schaller founded the text studio "Creta-Text" in Sursee, which later became the "Creavi" agency. In this environment he took over the editing of the "Luzerner Landbote" in Sursee in 1992 as editor-in-chief. In 1994 his life partner, the wheelchair world champion Daniela Jutzeler from Littau LU, died in a traffic accident. In 1996 he completed his training as an airline pilot ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot License) at the airline pilot school of Crossair (Crossair Training Center) in Basel, one year later supplemented by the American airline pilot license FAA at Link Aviation in Dallas USA. After his time as copilot on the MD-83 at Crossair and the transition of the airline to the newly founded Swiss , he became captain on the Saab 2000 in 2002 . In 2004, Bruno Schaller switched to the newly founded Helvetic Airways as captain on the Fokker 100 and in 2005 became chief pilot , member of the management and press spokesman for the company. He left the aviation business in 2007 and switched to school management, where he has been leading a primary and secondary school in Aargau ever since.

Bruno Schaller now lives in Lucerne.
