Brunori Sas (born September 28, 1977 in Guardia Piemontese , Province of Cosenza , as Dario Brunori ) is an Italian Cantautore (songwriter).

Career

Dario Brunori began experimenting with electronic music in 2003 and contributed some pieces of music for compilations for the Minute collective . In 2005 he founded the dream pop band Blume with Matteo Zanobini and Francesca Storai , with whom he released the album In tedesco vuol dire fiore in 2006 on the independent label Pippola , which was very well received in the indie scene. During this time he was also involved in the soundtracks of some animated series.

In 2009 he finally began his career as a Cantautore under the pseudonym Brunori Sas , which alluded to the name of his parents' company ( sas is the Italian equivalent of the legal form KG ). His first work was the album Vol. 1 , which earned him the Premio Ciampi for best debut. He was then able to enlarge his audience with an extensive tour. In 2011 he released the second album Vol. 2: Poveri cristi on the self-founded label Picicca Dischi . His song Una Domenica notte gave the title for the film of the same name by Giuseppe Marco Albano , which was released in 2012 ; in the same year he was for the soundtrack of the film È nata una star? by Lucio Pellegrini .

In his label Picicca Dischi, Brunori Sas took over the producer role for some new discoveries. In 2013 he went on tour through Italian theaters in a trio formation under the title Brunori senza baffi . In that year he was also involved in numerous projects by other musicians, appeared at musical events and was also able to make a name for himself on the radio. With appearances for the benefit of UNICEF and Emergency , he also showed strong social commitment. In 2014 his third album Vol. 3 - Il cammino di Santiago in taxi , was released by the major label Sony , which reached number five in the Italian album charts. Another tour followed.

With the successful single La verità , Brunori Sas announced his fourth album in 2017, which was released under the title A casa tutto bene and reached number three in the charts. La verità also earned him the Targa Tenco for Song of the Year. In 2018 the Cantautore presented his own TV show Brunori Sa on Rai 3 . At the Sanremo Festival 2019 he supported the band The Zen Circus as a duet partner on one evening . At the end of the year he released the new single Al di là dell'amore , which is part of the fifth album Cip! which was released in 2020 and topped the album charts.
