The Bruns Mountains are a small group of Nunatakkers in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . They rise 4 km west-northwest of the Brattskarvet mountain in Sverdrupfjella . The rock Tua belongs to them .
They were discovered and named during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of polar explorer Alfred Ritscher . It is named after Herbert Bruns (* 1908), electrical engineer of the expedition ship Schwabenland .
