Brood laughs
Brutlacht ( nd. Brutlacht, -lichte, -loft, bruloff , next to mhd. Brutloft, briutelouf , "bridal run") is an old North German term for part of the wedding celebration . He referred to the celebrations after the actual wedding and thus a sometimes day-long binge. The previous procedure, which included the church ceremony, entry into the church, and the pledge, was known as the upslag .
The word is sometimes translated directly as wedding and wedding custom.
Brutslacht is also a family name.
