Buchel (heraldry)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The beech is a seldom used common figure in heraldry , which appears in coats of arms individually or together with beech leaves on beech branches. It is modeled on the typical appearance of the ripe, open, but still on the tree two in its fruit cup , commonly called beechnut , the fruit of the red beech ( Fagus sylvatica ) and is always shown with a (occasionally strongly stylized) fruit cup.
