Bucher (patrician family)

The Bucher family was a Bernese patrician family that had owned the city of Bern as a citizen since the 14th century , belonged to the guild society of Schmieden and became extinct in the man line in 1871.

Members of the family provided the Venner zu Schmieden several times and the town clerk of Bern four times .

The family owned the Holligen Castle , the Schlössli Heimenhaus and the Buchergut in the Stadtbach district.
