Dead lake |
The Buchsee is a natural lake in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district between Münsing and Höhenrain . The Buchsee is a boggy dead lake without any noteworthy inflows or outflows. The shore area of the lake largely consists of a belt of reeds.
On the southwest side of the lake, however, there is an access with a bathing area and sunbathing lawn, which belongs to the adjacent farm with restaurant.
The Buchsee ice crumbling landscape has been designated as a valuable geotope by the Bavarian State Office for the Environment (geotope number: 173R019).
