Postás SE Budapest , Postás SE for short , is a Hungarian sports club from Budapest . His football department played a total of seven years in the first Hungarian league, the Nemzeti Bajnokság .
history
The Budapesti Posta és Távirda Tisztviselők Sport Egyesülete ( German Budapest Sports Club of the Postal and Telegraph Association ) was founded in 1899. In 1901 he changed his name to Postások Sport Egyesülete ( German Postman Sports Club ). In 1917 the club changed its name to Postás Sport Egyesület ( German Post Sports Club ).
Soccer
In 1902, the football department was the first in the second division to rise to the first Hungarian division, the Nemzeti Bajnokság . After a fourth place in the 1903 season and a fifth place in the 1904 season, the club took first place at the end of the 1905 season . However, the championship was awarded to Ferencváros Budapest due to a bribery scandal . Postások withdrew from the game and did not appear again until 1908 in the second division. He played there until 1911.
After the First World War , the club entered the third Hungarian division before moving up to the second division in 1922. After the introduction of the professional league in 1926, the club remained in the amateur game operation. In 1949 he belonged again to the Nemzeti Bajnokság , which he stayed until 1953 when he was relegated . He then played in the regional league of the city of Budapest.
ice Hockey
The ice hockey department played in the Hungarian Ice Hockey League from 1945 to 1969 and won the championships in 1952/53 and 1953/54 .
Table tennis
The table tennis department was in the final of the ETTU Cup in 1993 .
