The Buen Suceso ( Spanish for good event ) is a hill on Deception Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It rises in the extreme southwest of Port Foster .
According to the Scientific Committee for Antarctic Research , the name goes back to Russian scientists. However, it is much more likely that Argentine scientists did this.
