The Bufori La Joya is the fifth model from the Malay car manufacturer Bufori and was sold between 2004 and 2018. The name La Joya comes from the Spanish and means “the jewel”.
The vehicle's V6 engine with four overhead camshafts comes from Hyundai and is installed transversely in front of the rear axle. It has 2656 cc (86.7 mm bore, 75 mm stroke), provides a maximum of 126 kW (172 hp, 170 hp) and has a maximum torque of 245 Nm at 4000 min -1 . The compression ratio is 10: 1. It drives the rear wheels via a four-speed gearbox.
All wheels are individually suspended on double wishbones . The rack and pinion steering works like the brake with power assistance. Internally ventilated disc brakes are installed on all wheels .
The body made of plastic reinforced with carbon and aramid fibers sits on a lattice frame made of steel. The MK. III La Joya is 4.33 meters long, 1.81 meters wide and 1.37 meters high.
