The Bulletin du Bibliophile is one of the oldest book and library science journals with a focus on bibliophilia .

The magazine was founded in 1834 by the Parisian antiquarian Jacques Joseph Techener (1802–1873). Initially intended only as a catalog, it quickly became a magazine thanks to the bibliographical notes and editorials by Charles Nodier . From 1858 to 1968 it was entitled Bulletin du Bibliophile et du Bibliothécaire . The biannual published journal appears under the patronage of the Association Internationale de Bibliophilie (AIB).
