The Federal Soil Protection and Contaminated Sites Ordinance ( BBodSchV ) is a supplement to the Federal Soil Protection Act . It specifies the handling of contaminated sites and suspected contaminated sites in Germany .
Among other things, it contains provisions on
- Requirements for the investigation and assessment of suspected areas and areas suspected of being contaminated (§§ 3, 4),
- Requirements for the remediation of harmful soil changes and contaminated sites (Section 5),
- Avoidance of harmful soil changes due to soil erosion by water (§ 8),
- Precaution against the occurrence of harmful soil changes (§§ 9-12).
There are also four annexes with instructions on how to carry out the soil tests to be carried out in practice .
