The Federal Commercial Academy and Federal Commercial School Oberpullendorf is a federal commercial academy and commercial school in the town of Oberpullendorf in the Oberpullendorf district in Burgenland .

history

In 1969, an initiative of 14 tradespeople from the then market town asked Mayor Josef Seifried for support in setting up a business school. In 1970 the local council decided on this matter. With the support of the state school inspector Ferdinand Hoff, the 1970/1971 school year began as a private school with two classes and 9 teachers as a trading school for the market town of Oberpullendorf. With a decision from the Federal Ministry for Education and the Arts, the school received public rights in the 1971/72 school year. On February 7, 1972, the federal school development program provided for a business academy and business school in Oberpullendorf, which is why a business academy was started in the 1972/1973 school year. From 1973 the federal government took over the personnel costs and from 1978 the total costs. On October 6, 1978, the newly built school building with the Minister of ConstructionJosef Moser and Minister of Education Fred Sinowatz officially opened.

There are currently collaborations with international universities and participation in the Erasmus program .
