Josef Moser (born January 2, 1919 in Sankt Lambrecht in Styria , † March 2, 2003 in Graz ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and Federal Minister for Buildings and Technology in the Kreisky cabinet.

After graduating from high school in Graz in 1938, Moser was drafted into military service. On May 1, 1938, Moser joined the NSDAP . In 1946 he returned from an American captivity. Then his SPÖ career began: State Secretary of the Austrian Tenants' Association; 1953 Graz municipal council , from 1959 to 1980 member of the National Council . At the peak of his political career, Moser was Minister of Construction in the Kreisky cabinet from 1970 to 1980 . Moser was one of four former NSDAP members in Kreisky's first cabinet. From 1970 he was chairman of the Austrian tenants' association , of which Moser was honorary president until his death.
