Federal Industry Association for Technical Building Equipment

The Federal Industrial Association for Technical Building Equipment e. V. (BTGA) is an association based in Bonn and, as an umbrella organization, unites building technology companies with their own engineering capacities in Germany. Technical building equipment or building technology is a sub-area of supply technology .

The association represents the interests of the industry in cooperation with its boards and committees. In addition, the BTGA promotes both technology and science in the industry. To this end, the Association for Building Technology is involved in committees and standardization committees and participates in the creation of technical guidelines. The BTGA is a recognized specialist partner in environmental issues. It is entered in the database "Environmental literature and information of the Environment Library" of the Federal Environment Agency .

The members include around 500 large and medium-sized companies with around 45,000 employees. The BTGA provides advice to its members.

history

On August 12, 1898, 48 representatives of leading companies in the branch founded the Association of German Central Heating Industrialists (VDCI) in Munich. Kommerzienrat Henneberg was elected as the first chairman. The Federal Association of the Heating and Air Conditioning Industry was initially created from the VDCI. V.

After a few name changes, the association was renamed in 2012 as Bundesindustrieverband Technische Gebäudeausaltung e. V. registered in the register of associations.
