The Federal Guild of Hearing Acousticians KdöR (biha) (formerly the Federal Guild of Hearing Aid Acousticians) is the leading association for hearing aid professionals in Germany.

The guild was founded in order to bundle and represent the interests of the hearing care professional and to support the members in the exercise of their profession.

Anyone who independently operates the hearing acoustics trade and is registered with this trade in the trade register is entitled to enter the biha . Membership in biha is voluntary.

organization

The assembly of delegates forms the highest decision-making body of the federal guild of hearing care professionals and is elected by the guild members for three years.

The assembly of delegates in turn elects the board, which is elected for five years and consists of a guild master and four deputies. The work in the board of directors and the assembly of delegates is exclusively voluntary.

tasks

The guild represents the hearing care professional towards ministries, authorities, industry, associations, health insurance companies and the public.

The guild is involved in the education and training of hearing care professionals. Since 1973 she has been running the Academy for Hearing Acoustics in Lübeck , the largest vocational training facility for a healthcare trade worldwide.
