The Bundesoberstufenrealgymnasium Ternitz , BORG Ternitz for short , is an upper level realgymnasium in Ternitz in Lower Austria .

history

The school was opened on September 7, 2007 as a privately run ORG and was initially only set up in containers. In September 2010 the newly built school building was finally ready and the school was taken over by the federal government as a BORG at the beginning of the new school year .

On November 8, 2016, the school campus, consisting of the Polytechnic School, the New Middle School and the BORG, was opened in the presence of the former Federal President Heinz Fischer School Campus Dr. Heinz Fischer named. A Rohrbach conglomerate stone with a plaque with a portrait of Fischer designed by Robert Hammerstiel was erected on the campus .

From August 2017, the old gym of the new middle school on the school campus was demolished and a new gym was built for around 3.6 million euros.

The training is divided into three branches:

  • Information and communication technology: The focus is on scientific subjects and IT skills.
  • Artistic-creative branch: The focus is on the artistic subjects, with a separate subject, polyesthetics, also being part of the class.
  • Sports branch: The focus is placed on the versatility of sports training.
