Bundesrealgymnasium in Imst

The Bundesrealgymnasium Imst is a Bundesrealgymnasium in the city of Imst in Tyrol and is a listed building .

architecture

The school building was built from 1970 to 1973 according to the plans of the architects Franz Kiener and Ferdinand Kitt (1919–1973). Due to the model character of the school in the 1970s as an indoor school with a grid system and precast exposed concrete, the school was placed under monument protection. A study group prefabrication in school building by architects around Ottokar Uhl had developed model schools from 1968 onwards. The classes were arranged around a large central hall area with a centrally located staircase.
