The Bundestag constituency Gera - Saale-Holzland-Kreis was a constituency in Thuringia in the 2002 Bundestag election . It had the constituency number 196 and included the independent city of Gera and the Saale-Holzland district . The constituency was re-established as part of the 2002 constituency reform , but was dissolved again for the 2005 Bundestag election . The area of ​​the constituency became part of the new and larger constituency of Gera - Jena - Saale-Holzland-Kreis .

The direct mandate in the general election of 2002 by Karsten Schoenfeld ( SPD ) with 36.6% of the primary vote won.
