The Federal Association of Hygiene Inspectors e. V. (BVH) is a registered association with headquarters in Berlin , posing as a professional interest association of health inspectors understands. It is the umbrella organization of the regional associations existing in the German federal states. Around 500 members are organized in 16 regional associations.

history

The federal association was founded as a federal working group of health supervisors on January 10, 1977, the first chairman was Günter P. Rienow. In 1998 Oskar Weinig was elected chairman of the Federal Association of Hygiene Inspectors, who held this position until 2005. Weinig founded a Lower Franconian publication in 1992, which has been published as the magazine Der Hygieneinspektor by the Federal Association of Hygiene Inspectors every six months since 1998 and which has "developed into a nationally recognized specialist magazine ".

Since 2012, the BVH has been a member of the German Association for Gas and Water and the Association for Applied Hygiene.

aims

According to the statutes, the association sees itself as a professional interest group for the maintenance and promotion of the profession. He serves u. a. the nationwide coordination of work in the state associations, maintains and promotes the exchange of communication between the state associations and with all relevant organizations, authorities, specialist companies and unions at the federal level. The program also includes the promotion of uniform basic, advanced and advanced training for members.

  • Measures to prevent and control communicable diseases in humans
  • Measures in the context of environmental medicine
  • Advice and education of the population in questions of infection protection and environmental medicine

The regional association of Bavaria is listed as a trade union with the DBB Beamtenbund and Tarifunion .
