The Federal Association of the Chimney Sweep Crafts - Central Guild Association (ZIV) - represents the interests of chimney sweep companies in Germany. Members

Members of the federal association are 16 regional guild associations and their affiliated guilds . The association is the umbrella organization of the chimney sweep trade in the Federal Republic of Germany. Its seat is Sankt Augustin . It is a legal person under private law ( Section 80 of the Crafts Code ); on the basis of the approval of its statutes by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy , it is legally competent (§§ 85 para. 2, 80 Crafts Code).

Organs and organization

The association promotes a modern apprenticeship and a master craftsman's examination regulations that correspond to the state of the art. As a reaction to the changed framework conditions in the chimney sweep trade, the new ordinance on vocational training for chimney sweeps came into force on August 1, 2012.

Education funding

In 2013, the Federal Association of Chimney Sweepers and the Central Association of German Chimney Sweepers (ZDS) - trade union professional association - founded an internal professional support system. The training cost compensation fund pays subsidies to training companies in the chimney sweep trade and is financed on a solidarity basis. On the basis of the general binding declaration of the collective agreement on the promotion of vocational training in the chimney sweep, all companies in the chimney sweep pay an amount into the fund.
