The Federal Association against Aircraft Noise (BVF) is a non-partisan German environmental protection organization that works to prevent the harmful effects of air traffic . She is a founding member of the European Association against the Harmful Effects of Aviation and the Alliance Internationale contre le Bruit (AICB).

The federal association was founded in 1967 and organizes cities, municipalities and other regional authorities as well as protection associations against aircraft noise. Kurt Oeser is the founding president and today's posthumous honorary chairman .

One of the main tasks of the organization is the appointment and training of members of the noise protection commissions. According to Section 32b of the Aviation Act , at least one representative of the federal association must be appointed to each aircraft noise commission.

In addition to its work in the standardization committees and the Federal Commission according to Section 32a of the Aviation Act, the BVF also works on a European and international level by examining EU directives and ICAO regulations.
