The Isweiler bunker is located in the Isweiler residential area near Frauwüllesheim , a district of the Nörvenich community in the Düren district .

In the vicinity of Isweiler, about 800 m from Frauwüllesheim, is the only known, still-preserved type K bunker in North Rhine-Westphalia . It belonged to the West Air Defense Zone , was built in 1938/39 and expanded in the early 1970s by the Düren district administration as an alternative seat for disaster control in the event of a defense . At the beginning of the 1990s, the bunker was no longer needed for this purpose and was sold to the Nörvenich community, which then used it as a file storage room and ultimately handed it over to the care of the Heimat- und Historisches Verein.

The bunker is located about 160 m south-southeast of the St. Nicholas Chapel and has a size of 8.00 × 19.20 m.

On July 9, 1985, the complex was entered in the list of archaeological monuments in Nörvenich under No. 3.
