History and description

Construction of the bunker system began in 1937 and the last building was completed in 1940. The Maybach I was a bunker complex disguised as a country house settlement consisting of 12 residential buildings with artificial roofs, windows and doors. The bunkers were connected by a ring tunnel. There was a connection to the Zeppelin telecommunications bunker through the so-called southern tunnel in the north of the facility. In April 1945 the facility was occupied by the Red Army and after the end of the Second World War it was dismantled and partly blown up.
