The Bunte Garten is a city ​​park in the city ​​center of Mönchengladbach .

Location and attractions

The garden connects the Kaiser-Friedrich-Halle on Hohenzollernstraße in the center of the city with the main cemetery in the north and the millennium forest. The park consists of a continuous, narrow strip of green that is only interrupted by the Schürenweg. It is 30 hectares in size and subdivided into a botanical garden with 5 hectares with a stone , herb and apothecary garden as well as a fragrance and touch garden for the blind.

Other attractions are the playground on Bettrather Strasse and the aviary with over 200 domestic and foreign animals opposite the St. Barbara monastery .
