The United States Bureau of Engraving and Printing ( BEP ) is an agency of the United States Treasury Department founded in 1862 and based in Washington, DC (14th & C Streets, SW).

The main task of the federal agency is to print banknotes of US dollars for the Federal Reserve System and other documents with high print quality for federal agencies as well as individuals and businesses. She also advises federal authorities on issues relating to the design of ID cards and is responsible for the destruction of US dollar banknotes. Banknotes with other currencies are also produced. For decoration purposes, paper webs with US banknotes are sold to everyone (higher than face value). Larry R. Felix has been the director of BEP since January 11, 2006.

BEP has printing facilities in Washington, District of Columbia, and Fort Worth , Texas .
