The castle Borna later Jahn Castle called, is an Outbound Wasserburg on the southeastern outskirts of the village Wyhraniederung west of Old Town Borna in the district of Leipzig in Saxony .
The actual time of origin of the early 80 by 60 meter oval ring castle has not been clarified.
The moated castle was expanded into a castle in the 12th century and was owned by the Lords of Jane and later by the Counts of Wettin . In 1530 the castle was demolished. Even in the GDR -time the foundations of the intended the keep have been present.
